6.1 billion-dollar deal

MSC buys Bolloré Africa Logistics

The MSC Group, through its subsidiary SAS Shipping Agencies Services, has completed its  acquisition of Bolloré Africa Logistics.

The transaction, worth 5.7 billion euros, has been approved by all the regulatory authorities involved.

MSC Group Chairman Diego Aponte said they were delighted to welcome over  21,000 new colleagues to the MSC family, adding that “the deal will strengthen longstanding ties with Africa and will reinforce our commitment to the continent’s economic growth, including investments in the  ships, shipyards, container terminals, logistic solutions, storage facilities, and  road and rail networks that will support and enhance trade between African nations and the rest of the world.”
