There’s a new twist on the trade war front. After suspending reciprocal tariffs against all countries except China for 90 days, the White House is back on the issue again, clarifying that the total duties imposed on the People’s Republic of China are 145%, not 125% as originally reported in the media. The 125% reciprocal tariffs announced by Trump are added to the 20% levies previously imposed on fentanyl.
The EU, meanwhile, has opted to suspend duties against US products for ninety days.
