Costa Cruises will be putting four ships in the Mediterranean for their summer schedule. This was announced in a statement by the company’s general manager, Mario Zanetti.
In the Western Mediterranean, the LNG-powered flagship Costa Smeralda and the Costa Firenze will be used for itineraries in Italy. The Costa Luminosa and Costa Deliziosa will be sailing in the eastern Mediterranean.
Costa stresses that the Costa Safety Protocol, which includes enhanced health and safety procedures for all aspects of the cruise experience, both on board and ashore, will be put in place on every vessel and has already been implemented in cruise operations over the last few months.
