CSSC Shipping gets a new leader

CSSC Shipping, the shipowning division of China’s top shipbuilding corporation, China State Shipbuilding Corp, has a new leader.

Zhong Jian, 57, was, until today, “Non-executive Director” of the state giant. Among the various positions he has held during his many years of work experience, Zhong was also supervisor of CSSC Holdings, a group company listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

Zhong will replace his predecessor, Yang Li, and will receive a basic annual salary of $120,000, plus various benefits. CSSC Shipping currently owns a fleet of 117 ships, 86 of which are already operational and 36 are in the process of being delivered.
