The Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) transport sector call 2018 finances study and investment projects necessary for the development of the trans-European transport network. Its priorities are to strengthen the interoperability of the management and control systems of European rail networks, innovation and new technologies applied to the transport sector (digitizing operations and services throughout the logistics chain), as well as multimodal logistics platforms and IT systems for road and rail traffic management. The call for proposals foresees total resources of 450 million euros, 200 million euros of which for transport system safety and technological innovation.
