Finnlines: profits up in the 1st quarter

Finnlines closed the first quarter with a revenue of 130.5 million euros, down by 5.1% compared to the same period of the previous year.

However, costs decreased by 9.3% (to 108.7 million euros), leading the company to record a net profit of 20.7 million euros (+27.6%).

From an operational point of view, in the first quarter the Finnish shipping company transported 121,000 passengers, 186,000 cargo units and 41,000 cars, with a decrease of 0.8%, 1% and 4.6% respectively compared to Q1 2019.
