Grimaldi fleet’s order list is getting longer. The Neapolitan shipowner has decided to take up the option to build a further five vessels with the China Merchant Industry Holdings shipyard, in addition to the five ships already ordered last October. This brings the total number of Pure Car, Truck Carriers ordered in less than three months to 15.
The new vessels will be built so they can also run on ammonia and designed to transport electric vehicles. They will be delivered between 2025 and 2027 and will be used on routes between Europe, North Africa and the Near and Far East.
