The Port Network Authority has just published, on its official notice board, the call for expressions of interest, which will be followed by a letter of invitation, to identify operators interested in setting themselves up in the new areas in the port of Piombino.
This, just one month after the approval in the Management Committee of the Official Guidelines which determine the objective and transparent criteria for evaluating and, if necessary, comparing the various development projects in the available lots in Piombino port. The Network Authority is therefore taking a concrete step forward in favor of relaunching the port.
Those who are interested will have until 12.00 noon on 9th September to send their expressions of interest (they must do so only by certified e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org).
Requests for visits – obligatory for participation – to the areas subject to the selection procedure and identified in the map attached to the notice must be received by 2nd August.
Once the preliminary screening of the operators concerned has been completed, a letter of invitation for those admitted will follow, containing the procedures and criteria for assessing and selecting the relevant applications.
Finally, the selected companies will sign a procedural agreement with the Port Network Authority, whereby the commitments to be met by both parties will be set out in black and white.
“For Piombino, today is a historic turning point – says the person in charge of the procedure, Claudio Capuano – By the end of the year we will be able to have a clear picture of the port’s concession situation and the entrepreneurs in the field. We will work flat out to assign the available lots to those who really believe in the development of the Tuscan port of call.
