MSC has announced a new Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) on routes from Northern Europe to the United States, Mexico, Canada, Puerto Rico and the Bahamas.
From 15th October, an additional $400 fee will be charged to transport 20ft containers to the United States, Puerto Rico and the Bahamas. The surcharge rises to $600 for shipping 40-ft boxes and $1,000 for reefer containers.
Similarly, for shipments from Northern Europe to Mexico or Canada, a PSS from $400 to $1,000 will be charged depending on the type of container.
