MSC has announced its going to launch a new service between the US and South Africa.
Operational from October, the link service will employ eight ships on a weekly basis with the following loop: Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) – Durban – Cape Town – New York – Baltimore – Norfolk – Charleston – Freeport – Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth)
According to Gianluigi Aponte’s group, MSC is currently the only shipping company offering a direct link between South Africa and the US East Coast.
