New contract for Hyundai Heavy

KOREA Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (formerly Hyundai Heavy Industries) has secured a $70 million contract for the construction of two product tankers to be delivered in the second half of 2021.

The two vessels will be built at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, Ulsan (South Korea) and Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding, Vietnam.

This latest deal brings the number of newbuilding orders that KSOE has been able to secure this year to 59, for a total of $4.07 billion.
