ONE & Wan Hai are launching the  new PS8/AP2 transpacific service. Up and running  from May 18th, it will have a six-week rotation using five boxships, three of which will be operated by ONE and two by Wan Hai.

The service be launched in Qingdao with the of 4,680 TEU Wan Hai 517. It will also call at  Ningbo, Los Angeles and Oakland before returning to Qingdao.

The PS8 service is part of the new Premier Alliance network (comprising ONE, HMM and Yang Ming), which will become operational in April 2026.

Although operated by ONE & Wan Hai, ONE’s partners in the Premier Alliance (HMM and Yang Ming) are set to purchase slots on this service to expand their coverage on the route between northern/eastern China and the US west coast.

This service has been designed to offer direct, fast links between China’s main industrial hubs (Qingdao and Ningbo) and California’s logistics gateways (Los Angeles and Oakland), improving schedule reliability in an increasingly competitive transpacific market.
