Cruise ship at the end of her life

Pullmantur Monarch, the final voyage

by Port News Editorial Staff

The final voyage of the Monarch, a 2800-passenger cruise ship of the Pullmantur company built in 1991, ends in Aliaga, in one of the many Turkish beaches used for shipbreaking.

The last moments of the ship’s operational life were immortalized in a video published on youtube. The Monarch and the Sovereign (also arrived in Aliaga) are the two largest cruise ships ever to be demolished in Turkish shipyards.
