China continues to lead the way in the shipbuilding industry. This has been confirmed by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
Between January and June, Chinese shipyards have launched 18.5 million dwt of new ships, accounting for 45.2% of the global market.
Orders secured as of June 30th, totaling 102 million dwt, accounted for 47.8 % of the market worldwide.
