Singapore, new leadership at MPA

Change at the top at the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore. After three and a half years, Ms. Quah Ley Hoon is stepping down in favour of the current deputy secretary of the Ministry of Defense (MINDEF), Mr. Teo Eng Dih.

As Deputy Secretary of MINDEF, Singapore Mr. Teo is responsible for defense policy and diplomacy, strategic and public communications and Total Defence.

With Mr. Teo, Singapore strengthened collaborations under the ASEAN Defense Platform and helped coordinate the ministry’s efforts in the national fight against Covid-19.

Mr. Teo holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College of Science and Technology and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School.

In a press note, the Ministry of Transport wished the new MPA no. 1 well in his work and expressed  its appreciation for the work done by his predecessor over the last few years.
