CMA CGM has commissioned Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD with building ten 2,000 TEU ice-class vessels.

They will be dual-fuel and can therefore also run on Liquefied Natural Gas. The order is worth 627 million dollars. The ships are set to be delivered by the end of September 2024.

According to a report by the specialized website The Loadstar, CMA CGM could deploy the ships in the Baltic Sea. The announcement of the new order comes just a few days after they announced their quarterly turnover results: a net profit of $5.6 billion was recorded between July and September.
