Further adjustments to services between Asia and Europe

The Alliance, blank sailings in October

by Port News Editorial Staff

The Alliance shipping consortium, consisting of Hapag-LLoyd, HMM, ONE and Yang Ming, has announced more blank sailings for October due to the expected lower demand due to the persisting pandemic crisis.

As far as links between Asia and the Mediterranean are concerned, The Alliance will maintain the weekly frequency of its MD1, MD2 and MD3 services. In its MD1 service, which in Italy calls at the port of Genoa, departures have been cancelled in weeks 41 and 44. In its MD2 service, calling at the Italian ports of Genoa and La Spezia, departures have been cancelled in weeks 41 and 45. In its MD3 service, which does not involve Italian ports but Eastern Mediterranean ones, The Alliance has opted to cancel departures in weeks 41 and 45.
