The port of Tilbury gets a new terminal

by Port News Editorial Staff

The brand-new ferry terminal at the British Port of Tilbury will open next week.

Located where the old power station of the city once stood, on the north bank of the Thames, on the outskirts of London, the new infrastructure will be dedicated to the transport of semi-trailers and will have an area reserved for the storage of construction materials.

The terminal will be managed by the Forth Ports Group and will operate in partnership with P&O Ferries.

Over £200 million was spent on setting up the new facility.
