A new joint venture

TIL has set its sights on Liverpool port

by Port News Editorial Staff

Terminal Investment Limited (TIL) will set up a joint venture with the British company Peel Ports to participate in the “Liverpool 2” project, which involves the construction of a new deep-water container terminal in the port of Liverpool.

The terminal company owned by the Swiss group MSC is ready to invest 452 million euros for the installation of three quay cranes, arriving in November, and ten rail gantry cranes. These assets will be added to the five ship-to-shore cranes and 12 rail gantry cranes installed in 2016.

The project, now in its second phase, will be completed in 2021.
