Top Ships orders three new ships

Tanker owner Top Ships has signed a contract with Hyundai Mipo Dockyard for the construction of three new MR2s. The vessels, which have a total value of $18 million, will be delivered in the first quarter of 2021.

All three will be equipped with scrubbers and chartered for five years by Central Tankers Chartering,a charter company that is part of the Central group, together with TOP Ships .

With these latest acquisitions, the group’s fleet will grow to 15 tankers, consisting of 13 MR2 and two Suemax vessels
