The US and India have been successfully come to a trade agreement, The punitive tariffs Washington imposed on imports of Indian products will be reduced from 25% to 18%.
Narendra Modi’s country will in turn commit to zeroing its levies on US goods. The Indian Prime Minister has also pledged to purchase over $500 billion worth of American energy, technology, agricultural products and coal.
Modi’s decision to stop purchasing Russian oil and to buy much more from the US and, potentially, Venezuela, helped to reach the agreement.
