A total of 183.2 million TEUs were handled in 2024, up 6.2% on the previous year, according to Container Trades Statistics’ latest report.
The annual growth in the year just ended comes after two consecutive years of unimpressive results.
In 2023 172.5 million TEUs were handled, just 0.02% more than in 2022 which, in turn, registered a – 5% drop on the previous year.
