Construction work has been completed on the new warehouse for storing frozen food products at Tuscany’s Amerigo Vespucci freight village in Guasticce,Collesalvetti. It was commissioned by the North Tyrrhenian Port Network Authority.
The work was carried out by a joint venture between Frangerini Impresa Srl, Intersonda Srl, EuroImpianti Srl and Siel Srl. It involved the construction of a cold storage facility measuring approximately 60 × 30 metres, with a roof around 19 metres high and a volume of over 12,000m3. It is also equipped with a 323 kWp photovoltaic system which supports the warehouse’s energy efficiency.
The project has been financed by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) as part of the investment programme dedicated to ‘Logistics development for the agri-food, fisheries & aquaculture, forestry, floriculture and nursery sectors.’
