100% acquisition of Trasgo

Cosulich expanding into logistics

The Cosulich Group is expanding into logistics purchasing 100% of Trasgo, a company specializing in international logistics.

The acquisition, worth €40 million, was made through Coscos, a joint venture between the Cosulich company and the Chinese giant Cosco Shipping.

Founded in 1981 in Novara, Italy, Trasgo had a turnover of around €36 million in 2022, offering a wide range of services including transport, warehousing, customs operations, goods handling, trade fair logistics and direct warehouse management at its customers’ facilities.

Augusto Cosulich, chairman  of the Genoese group, said that it was  is an important day for Fratelli Cosulich,  He stressed that what really matters was, just like in life, to find  the right partners to create the conditions for joint investments. He pointed out it was possible to grow together with well-established partners, but entrepreneurs had to be willing to invest their own resources,

Mr. Cosulich emphasized that Coscos was  the result of a  long-standing relationship with one of their closest business partners for over 30 years. He said that Trasgo offered  a solid response to the changing logistics needs of their  current and future customers and innovation was enabling them to provide their customers with real solutions.
