Darsena Europa, infrastructural investments and port road network. These were the key topics on the agenda at the meeting held this morning at the North Tyrrhenian Port Network Authority (PNA) headquarters in Palazzo Rosciano between PNA special commissioner, Davide Gariglio, and Assimprese (port company association), represented by its president Giorgio Neri, vice-presidents Dino Lorenzini and Jari De Filicaia, and advisor Enio Lorenzini.

The discussion focused, among many other things, on the necessity to complete the expansion of Livorno’s port on schedule and the urgent need to proceed with the other infrastructure projects. First and foremost, widening the harbour access channel, to make  the  port more accessible. Another issue of key importance is  improving traffic flow management along the port road network, which the PNA is preparing an ad hoc ordinance for.

“This was an introductory meeting. What has emerged is a sense of common purpose and a willingness to work together for the economic development of the local regional area and the port’s traffic,” Mr. Gariglio commented.
