“I am grateful to Minister Salvini and the President of Tuscany Regional Administration, Eugenio Giani, for the trust they have placed in me. I have a great responsibility and will do my utmost to serve the community in the best possible way in managing the port network,” said Davide Gariglio commenting on his appointment as President of the North Tyrrhenian Port Network Authority. It was made official just a few hours ago with Ministerial Decree No. 286 of 12 November 2025.
‘I have found a team of highly competent, professional managers and employees at the Port Authority. I will work with them to set up a cohesive team that works to the best of its ability for the community, focusing on the common good and the sustainable development of our ports,” the new Port Authority president declared.
“Human resources,” he added “are this organization’s real asset, and I will ensure we make the most of them so that they can express their full potential.”
Environmental sustainability (with the Port Authority committed to prioritizing the implementation of cold ironing) and port infrastructure development are among the strategic challenges that have to be resolved: “We have a lot to do and we need to use resources sparingly, allocating them in the best possible way. It is a choice we intend to make by involving all our institutional stakeholders and economic operators in our ports.”
Social sustainability is also a strategic issue for Mr. Gariglio. “This year and in the years to come, the authority will resolutely continue to take all the necessary action to safeguard employment in the port,” said Palazzo Rosciano’s leading figure.
Over the next few days, Mr. Gariglio will complete the process for nominating the Management Committee representatives.
