Negotiations between HMM and SK Shipping have fallen through.
HMM made the announcement. On the 15th January the South Korean company had been selected as the top bidder for purchasing the shipping line.
According to reports, disagreements have arisen over the acquisition price between the carrier and its owner, the private equity investment group Hahn & Co.
SK Shipping’s business is estimated to be worth approximately $2.8 billion.
