Israel attacks Yemini port of Hodeida

by Port News Editorial Staff

Yesterday, Israeli fighter jets struck the Houthi-controlled port of Hodeidah in response to the Yemeni faction’s continued drone and missile attacks against Israel.

The attack had been pre-announced by the Israeli army in a post on social media platform X, urging port workers and all anchored vessels to evacuate the area immediately.

According to the Israeli army, “The Hodeidah Port is used by the Houthi terrorist regime for the transfer of weapons supplied by the Iranian regime, in order to execute attacks against the State of Israel and its allies.”

The Yemeni news agency, affiliated with the Houthis, said Israel had launched 12 raids on the port of Hodeidah. Previous Israeli air strikes on the port in May and July had caused severe damage.
