The process of privatizing ITA Airways has reached a turning point. In fact, the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), the company’s owner, has announced that it will begin exclusive negotiations with the group made up of Certares Management LLC, Delta Airlines Inc. and Air France-KLM S.A., ‘whose offer was considered to be more in line with the objectives set by the Prime Ministerial Decree of 11 February 2022’.
The MEF stated that once the exclusive negotiations are terminated, “binding agreements will only be signed if the contents are fully satisfactory to the public shareholder.”
