MSC to operate new terminal in Rotterdam

MSC is to develop and operate a new container terminal in Rotterdam on Maasvlakte I, It will have  a capacity of between 6 and 7 million TEUs per year, with  a total quay length of 2.6 km

The project, developed through its subsidiary Terminal Investment Limited, and implemented jointly with Hutchison Ports, foresees an initial operational phase in 2027.

According to Port Authority CEO Allard Castelein, the project will enable the Port of Rotterdam to further strengthen its leading position in container traffic in Europe.
