The Tuscan Port Network  is showcasing  at Breakbulk Europe from 13th  to 15th May.  Breakbulk Europe is the leading trade fair dedicated to the breakbulk, heavy lift and project cargo sector, which will be celebrating its twentieth birthday in Rotterdam this year.

At least 600 exhibitors from over 120 countries will be taking part in the event.  The Italian delegation consists of  a significant number of  operators and institutional representatives, who will be presenting  themselves at the three-day Dutch event to consolidate their ports’ traffic.

The North Tyrrhenian Port Network Authority (PNA) will be taking part in the event with a delegation of seven Port Community representatives, including Livorno Port Company’s commercial director, Antonio Rognoni, and  managers  from MVN srl, a subsidiary of Medlog (MSC) and Logistics Project Italia S.r.l, which handles the logistics and shipping for industrial giants such as Baker Hughes.

“This occasion will allow us to make contact with the top operators in the sector,’ says Claudio Capuano, senior promotion executive at the PNA.  “Our aim is to strengthen the leadership that our Network has in this particular sector, a sector which it has excelled in for years, thanks to its excellent performance in project cargo and forest products.”

The non-containerized cargo and bulk sector (with the exception of liquid cargo) accounts for over  half of all the traffic the North Tyrrhenian port network handles, which exceeds 23 million tonnes a year. Forest product traffic (handled on breakbulk ships) is particularly strategic. In 2024, it was up  7.5% over the previous year to 1.9 mln tonnes of cargo.
