MOU signed with the ANA airline company

NYK to sell its air cargo division

by Port News Editorial Staff

NYK Line is planning to sell the entire capital of its company  Nippon Cargo Airlines (NCA) to ANA.

The Japanese carrier’s decision to sell off this asset stems from the high costs of the business. Indeed, the continuous introduction of new aircraft and the ongoing training of the airline’s operating personnel has meant considerable expenditure.

Nippon Cargo Airlines was set up in 1978 and its entire ownership passed to NYK in 2010. NCA has a fleet of eight Boeing 747-8Fs.
