New Houthi attack

Red Sea, Gibraltar Eagle bulker hit

by Port News Editorial Staff

The Red Sea continues to be a theatre of war. Just as US and British raids against Houthi positions are intensifying, a few hours ago a missile fired by Yemeni militiamen hit the Gibraltar Eagle, a vessel  flying the Marshall Islands flag operated by the American Eagle Bulk Shipping, in the Gulf of Aden.

A fire broke out in the hold, but there were no injuries and the ship was able to continue its journey.

This latest incident is the 30th Houthi attack against merchant ships from  countries associated with Israel.
