IKEA Supply is the first shipper to join the Digital Container Shipping Association, a non-profit group which aims to create common digital standards in the container shipping industry.
“We believe collaboration is the way to make global shipping more efficient and predictable” said Ewelina Taylor, Head of Global Transport at Inter IKEA Group. She believes that by joining DCSA+, IKEA can help create digital solutions that make it easier for everyone involved to share information, improve transparency and, ultimately, deliver better shopping experiences for their customers around the world.
SPlash247 also reports that Lloyd’s Register has just joined DCSA+.
The Digital Container Shipping Association (DCSA) was officially founded on 10th April 2019 in Amsterdam. It includes some of the most representative carriers in the industry, like MSC, Maersk, One, Evergreen, ZIM and CMA CGM.
