“Complex infrastructure projects such as the Darsena Europa require a specific, autonomous commissioner who is not part of Port Network Authority (PNA) top management,” said Deputy Minister Edoardo Rixi, answering a question from a reporter from Il Messaggero Marittimo.
Mr. Rixi stressed that “the president of the PNA has to focus on the day-to-day management of the port of call, ensuring that it is fully operational in all conditions. On the other hand, the technical skills and management complexity of projects like Darsena Europa require special dedicated attention, as has already happened successfully in the case of Genoa’s new breakwater.
