CDB Leasing’s big expansion plans

CHINA Development Bank Financial Leasing has ordered nine 60,000 dwt ultramax dry bulkers costing $261 million. The shipyard commissioned with their construction is compatriot New Dayang Shipbuilding (NDS).

Delivery times have not been disclosed. What is certain is that CDB leasing has been carrying out similar operations to expand its fleet for some time now. This year, in fact, the company has already announced a series of deals to acuire new tonnage: seven Handysize dry bulkers and 17 small and medium-size bulk carriers have already been ordered during the year.
