Huge order secured by Dalian shipyard

CMES orders two new LNG carriers

CHINA Merchants Energy Shipping has commissioned Dalian Shipbuilding Industry to build two new LNG carriers for transporting Liquefied Natural Gas.

The newbuildings have a 175,000 cubic metre capacity and cost 235 million dollars each. They are due to be delivered by the second half of 2026.

With these latest two orders, the number of vessels that CMES has ordered from the Chinese shipyard this year rises to ten. Delivery is set to be  between early 2026 and the first half of 2027.
