With the ministerial decree signed by the Minister of Infrastructure & Transport, Matteo Salvini, North Tyrrhenian Port Network Authority Special Commissioner, Davide Gariglio, officially takes over the powers and rights previously attributed to the Management Committee, which has yet to be re-elected.
“The measure,” says the MIT, “was necessary to avoid decision-making deadlocks and to guarantee Port Authorities their administrative continuity, pending the reconstitution of the normal governing bodies.”
The Ministry acted on the State Legal Advisory Office’s approval, requested by the Directorate General for Ports, which highlighted the urgency of delegating powers to Commissioners
