The trans-Pacific link service had been suspended in March

ZIM eCommerce Xpress is back

by Port News Editorial Staff

ZIM has announced that it has brought back its transpacific services in Southern California. They had been suspended in March this year due to easing congestion problems and falling demand.

The Zim eCommerce Xpress (ZEX) service, first launched in 2020, is now being reintroduced to meet new market demands in e-commerce. The maiden voyage, with a Xiamen-Yantian-Los Angeles-Xiamen rotation, will depart from Yantian on 22nd November,  offering  a 12.5 day transit time.

Zim President & CEO Eli Glickman said that his company was once again putting its core values into practice to identify rapidly changing market needs and provide an intelligent,  fast solution:  “We are coming back to the Pacific Southwest with a fast, punctual and reliable service. This service is an excellent and reliable substitute for airfreight, with a much more affordable  price and the best value for money.”
