MSC is planning to renew its feeder fleet with mega order for 120 1,100 – 5,000 TEU vessels.
Specialized sector periodical Splash247 disclosed the news, reporting that the average age of the feeder fleet owned by Gianluigi Aponte’s group is currently 22 years old.
With the new orders, the Italo-Swiss shipping line will soon become the first company in the world to go over the 7 mln TEU total capacity threshold.
